Three Things a Leader Should Pray

courage favour prayer wisdom

The Danish theologian and philosopher Soren Kierkegaard once said, "Prayer does not change God, but it changes him who prays."

As a follower of Jesus, and leader of people, how is your prayer life going? And what kind of prayers do you pray?

Here are three things I pray regularly for myself, and for leaders like you!
I pray for wisdom —wisdom beyond our experience. God has given us a brain, for sure, and we're thankful for the wise counsel surrounding us. But over and above that, let's earnestly seek divine direction. God, what should we do in any given situation? How should we respond?

I pray for courage—the courage to do what God has said, even if it's tough, uncomfortable, stretching, or even surprising.

Finally, I pray for favour—that as we courageously follow God's lead, the result will be fruit that lasts. Fruit that is good for others and brings glory to God.

Why not commit to regularly (daily?) pray for wisdom, courage and favour in your following Jesus, and leading of people?

I pray for buckets of wisdom, courage and favour as you daily follow Him, and lead others.
